Hi there everyone
The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed that I have not issued a newsletter in some time. I’m afraid I have been so busy this term that I could not allocate the time to produce newsletters. But I am taking pause right now to touch base with you all and to send out my training brochure for the next academic year (attached).
As usual, I can offer inhouse training direct to organisations throughout the year and will organise the date, venue and content directly with them. Do contact me if you want to find out more. And in addition, I am continuing to offer scheduled open courses throughout the year. These are all coordinated by my partner organisation Delegated Services (DS). DS also offer a diverse range of other related training).
Find out more about the range of services they offer here: About us – Delegated Services CIC
Remember I also offer a range of consultancy safeguarding services to settings also, including supportive safeguarding audits, policy writing, a safeguarding subscription service, and non-managerial safeguarding supervision.
For those of you who wish to keep up to date with changes in policy and good practice, I would recommend signing up to the following who have the capacity to send out regular briefings:
NSPCC learning: email@example.com
Andrew Hall: firstname.lastname@example.org
Wills Palmer: Industry News, Events and Company Updates (willispalmer.com)
Judicium Education: Judicium Education: School Support Services | Judicium Education
Also make sure you are signed up for briefings from your local safeguarding partnership, here is the one for Bristol, where most of my customers are based: Welcome to the Keeping Bristol Safe Partnership website. (bristolsafeguarding.org)
The most important update right now for every setting are the amendments which will be made to Keeping children safe in education (KCSIE) for this September 2022. The new statutory guidance is online now, and a great summary of the key changes is available from the NSPCC: A summary of changes introduced by Keeping children safe in education (KCSIE) 2022
Thanks everyone, have a great summer
